Mead is rooted in English and European history and is one of the oldest fermented drinks known. With the elegance of fine wine but the creativity of craft beer puts it all in a category all its own. We stock several made with unique flavours by fermenting honey with additional herbs, spices, fruits and sometime vegetables! We are currently the only venue within Leicester City that stocks as standard, Mead and ours comes from a small independent company that specializes in making it called Dreaded Mead.

On Draught

Trooper Nitro 4.7% (ROBINSONS BREWERY)

This is a drink endorsed by the world famous band Iron Maiden, is brewed to the same great TROOPER recipe and charged with NITRO; the perfect alternative to TROOPER real ale on the bar.

Made using 100% natural ingredients including deep borehole water, Bobek, Goldings and Cascade Hops, TROOPER NITRO is brewed at 4.7% ABV

Overkill 4.3% (GF) – Motorhead (Camerons Brewery)

This pilsner was crafted with overkill in mind. It is based on a Czech pilsner style with the late hop addition of Styrian Wolf hops which adds a gentle fruity taste to its solid malty backbone. Crisp, clean and very refreshing but with a little bite. Motorhead for life!

Krombacher 4.8% Premium

This is a 5 star Premium larger from the village of Krombach in Germany. It is a family brewery formed in 1803 and is the largest private brewery in Germany. This Pils has an abundance of fruity hop aromas, which give way to a beautifully balanced malt backbone on the palate. Fresh and smooth, the famous Felsquellwasser and Hallertau hops ensure the beer is crisp, clean and offers a refreshing, long-lasting light bitter finish. Naturally full flavoured.

Road Crew 4.5% – Motorhead (Camerons Brewery)

This American Pale Ale is packed full of hoppy citrus and blackcurrant flavours delivering a crisp, refreshing, superior taste to celebrate the spirit of song and those who inspired it. Motorhead for life!

Blood Orange – Sweet and Juicy

Our new Blood Orange infusion is a vibrant mouth-watering, juicy cider, bursting with blood orange flavour. Waves of orange aromas burst from the glass.

Dark Berry – Rich and Fruity

Enjoy this new, natural dark berry infusion. Its rich fruity flavour and fresh berry aroma adds an exciting new twist to our range.

Cloudy Lemon – Zingy and Refreshing

Try our new, natural lemony citrus infusion. Bursting with zingy lemon for the perfect balance of sweet and sharp notes, characterized by the intense, fragrant aroma of lemon juice.

Monocle Export 4%

This is a very popular clean and refreshing session pilsner that is not too heavy to drink and is designed for those that are on a night out or session.

Dortmunder 4.8% Premium Beer

A slightly maltier and a deeper gold than most Pilsners brewed in West Germany, the Dortmunder was a lager originally made for 19th-century German industrial workers and is named after the city of its origin. It was light enough to quench a coal miner’s thirst, but hearty enough to reward him for a long day of manual labour. Now it is brewed by several breweries outside of Dortmunder so people other than miners can get a taste of this refreshing beer.

Ales/Cask (Various):

We currently have 2 hand pumps where we regularly stock various guest ales or ciders. More often than not there is at least one on by the local brewery Leather britches plus one from the many other breweries we use such as Milestone, Lister’s, Caveman, Heritage, Stockport, Seacider plus many others.

Spirits

AC/DC Tequila Blanco

Named after the legendary AC/DC track from the 1990s, Thunderstruck Tequila marks the band latest venture into the beverage industry following releasing a beer and a series of wines - Tequila! This blanco Tequila is a collaboration with Fabrica de Tequilas Finos, produced using traditional methods in Mexico from 100% Blue Weber agave, creating a silky and delicate spirit.

Black Tears Spiced Rum

Black Tears Spiced Rum marries Cuban rum and Cuban spices, with coffee, cacao and ají dulce, which is a sweet chilli pepper. Full of toasty, roasted flavours, it’s not overly sweet, so works very well in a rum Old Fashioned. Just dont skip on the orange peel.

Fallen Angel Spiced Rum

Fallen Angel has added another expression to its selection - this time is a lip-smacking spiced rum! Presented in a unique and somewhat startling black ceramic bottle, the rum is flavoured with a secret recipe of spices and vanilla, resulting in a full-bodied sipper suitable for enjoying over ice or with your favourite mixer.

Cazcabel Honey Liqueur

A honey liqueur from the Cazcabel range, made using their Blanco Tequila as a base and honey sourced from local bees. Sweet and smoky, this is a rather individual, distinctive liqueur.

Cazcabel Coffee Liqueur

Rich and aromatic, Cazcabel Coffee Liqueur is made using their Blanco Tequila as a base and is blended with coffee. Great for use in cocktails, or perhaps splashed in a cuppa joe.

Rammstein Rum

From popular German metal band Rammstein comes this rum blend, the product of a collaboration with Danish bottler 1423. The blend marries pot still rum from Jamaica and Guyana, and column still rum from Trinidad, which are aged in bourbon barrels. You don’t have to drink it while listening to Rammstein, but come on, why wouldn’t you?

Rammstein Pink Gin

Hugely popular German metal band Rammstein hasn’t only been prolific with releasing albums full of heavy rock songs, but it’s also been rather prolific with releasing spirits, too – like its very own Pink Gin! Featuring a host of familiar gin botanicals, including juniper, coriander, and lemongrass, the spirit has also enjoyed an infusion of jasmine and strawberries, imparting the eponymous pink hue, as well as fruity, fragrant flavours throughout.

Suntory Toki Whisky

A blended whisky from Suntory’s three distilleries: Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita. Toki has a different composition to another Suntory blend, Hibiki, as its main components are Hakashu single malt and Chita grain whisky. It should work really well in a highball.

Fun fact: ‘Toki’ means ‘Time’ in Japanese.

Tenjaku Whisky

A tasty blended Japanese whisky here, Tenjaku is made with corn and barley, and aged in American white oak bourbon barrels. The Japanese characters you can spot on the label translate to ‘hibari’ more commonly known as the skylark. We reckon a Highball will showcase this one very well!

Sexton Single Malt

The creation of master blender Alex Thomas, The Sexton Single Malt Irish whiskey is made from 100% Irish malted barley, triple distilled in copper pot stills. After, the liquid is aged in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks imparting a rich and fruity character. It comes in a rather eye-catching hexagonal bottle, too.

Kraken Roast Coffee

What happens when you combine your morning brew, aromatic Caribbean rum, and a mythological tentacled sea monster? The Roast Coffee edition of The Kraken, of course! The aromatic spiced Caribbean rum has had a hearty dose of Arabica bean coffee added to it, so among the flavours of cinnamon and rich treacle, you’ll find roasty, toasty, bittersweet coffee deliciousness in this Kraken coffee rum. Espresso Rum-tini, anyone?

Trooper IPA (ROBINSONS BREWERY)

IRON MAIDEN and Robinsons Brewery have teamed up for TROOPER IPA, an award winning, 4.3% ABV golden India Pale Ale packed full of hoppy flavours.

This beer, which references the American IPA revolution with its choice of hops, was created by Bruce Dickinson and Robinsons’ Head Brewer Martyn Weeks. A perfect session ale designed to be enjoyed no matter what time of year.

Trooper Beer (ROBINSONS BREWERY)

Iron Maiden Trooper is deep golden ale with a subtle hint of citrus, and one of several official beers by the metal band.

Bruce Dickinson, Iron Maiden’s vocalist since 1982’s album “The Number of the Beast“, has developed the recipe for the beer in association with Robinsons Brewery.
